japan in pictures

I got back from Japan last Monday.

Images from my trip keep surprising me: when I look a certain way, when I suddenly want a cup of green tea mid-afternoon, when I sit on the bus on the way to work and think how different the bus was in Kyoto.

Here are some of the pictures I love the most. I'll be back later with the food photos.

    1. They definitely were -- with quite a few surprises! Now I just have to gather all the food photos together to get up . . .

  2. Wow, Japan looks amazing! I went years and years ago when I was 13 and remember being like "wow, people here have nice outfits on"
Maybe next year we should switch and you can check out China and I'll do Japan ;)

    1. That sounds like a wonderful plan! I was in Hong Kong in 1999, just two years after it went back to China, and I would be so curious to see how it is now and to check out more of China . . .And I just say Japanese people still have very nice outfits -- quite inspiring!

  3. Stephanie, these are wonderful! I toyed with the idea of getting a Christmas ticket to Tokyo, to be with the bro... These are making me re-think the decision not to : / So glad you had a good time.
